The most expensive thing is failing

Every failed attempt costs £50 plus another wait. The cheapest strategy is passing the first time — which is a preparation problem, not a luck problem. Our full prep (all mocks, drills, plan) costs £12.99 — less than ⅓ of one retake — and the first level check is free, right on the homepage.

Cost FAQ

How much is the Life in the UK Test in 2026?

£50 per attempt, paid when you book on gov.uk. There is no cheaper or premium version.

How much does a retake cost?

Another £50 — every attempt costs the same, and there's no limit on attempts (you wait at least 7 days between them).

Are there any hidden fees?

Not from the government service. Costs people add themselves: middleman 'booking services' (£50–£150 extra for nothing), last-minute rescheduling, and retakes from under-preparing.

Do I get a refund if I cancel?

You can get a refund if you cancel at least 3 days before your test on gov.uk. Cancel later, or miss the appointment, and the fee is lost.
